Simple Cinnamon Apple Bake Recipe

(No sugar added!)

Apples provide fiber, antioxidants, vitamins, and phytonutrients that are essential for overall wellness.

Cinnamon helps to aid in digestion and may even assist in stabilizing blood sugar.

Together, these two make a great pair and happens to be simply delicious!

Ingredients;

  • 1 lemon, squeezed or 1 Tbsp lemon juice

  • 1-2 Tbsp cinnamon

  • ~6 medium apples

  • 1-2 tsp of organic coconut oil or grass-fed butter

{Apple guide} Gather your favorite organic apples or mix and match;

  • Honey crisp; crisp, sweet

  • Granny Smith; tart, tangy, sweet

  • Golden delicious; sweet, bake softer

  • Gala; crisp, sweet

  • Pink lady (one of my favorites); tart, sweet, crisp

Steps

  1. Pre-heat oven to bake at 375* F

  2. Rinse apples, slice into 1/4inch wedges

  3. Place wedges in bowl, toss in cinnamon and lemon juice

  4. Coat a baking sheet or pan with a thin layer of the coconut oil or butter

  5. Spread apple slices out on baking sheet or pan and place in oven.

  6. Let bake for 15-25 minutes on each side

For more crisp slices, bake for 15 minutes each side, for softer slices bake for approximately 25 minutes a side. Allow to cool for ~30 minutes, serve in a bowl and enjoy!
